3 Types of Events a Flash Mob is Perfect For!

1: CORPORATE EVENT

Conferences usually involve jam-packed days. What better way to reinvigorate attendees than with an unexpected, high-energy dance performance? And, if your event is featuring a specific theme, we can tailor the song, choreography and costumes to match that theming. Pro tip: Flash Mobs are excellent at facilitating audience movement from one venue to another. For example, at the event shown below, guests were originally milling outdoors. But they needed to move to an indoor ballroom for the next function. That’s where our Flash Mob came in...

Our dancers sprung up amongst the crowd, then danced out of the patio area and into the indoor hallway, leading guests to the ballroom destination. Guests were of course intrigued by what was happening, so they all followed the Flash Mob, achieving the desired effect of surprise, delight, and collective movement.

2: GALA

Oftentimes, galas - especially fundraising ones - have two phases. The first involves arrival, auction, drinks and dinner. The second involves dancing (and more drinks!) If you want to start the party phase off with a bang, that’s where our Flash Mob comes in. Guests have been seated for a while, and sometimes they are reluctant to jump out of their seats and be the first ones on the dance floor. But it’s easy if our dancers have paved the way. The Flash Mob will ultimately culminate on the dance floor, and immediately afterward, dancers will invite and encourage guests to join them. After this Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida event, our client shared with us the following: “Your fabulous and amazing dancers absolutely brought the wow factor! That flash mob lit up our ballroom and set the tone for an unforgettable night. Thank you for helping make our Pink Ribbon Gala truly shine! The energy, the surprise, the smiles… it was all pure magic that you brought to us!”

3: WEDDING

We’re all familiar with a proposal Flash Mob. But what about at the wedding itself?! And, there’s several avenues you can take. You can bring in our professional dancers to light up the stage, OR – you can have your guests participate! For example, in the Swan Reserve wedding shown in the video below, the groom wanted to surprise his future husband with an Oktoberfest-themed Flash Mob danced by their friends and family! So, our in-house choreographers prepared custom choreography and then filmed tutorial/instructional videos. These videos were shared with the participating friends and family, so that they could learn in the comfort of their own home prior to the big day! Once on-site at the venue, our team (pictured in this video wearing all-black) facilitated as needed and ensured seamless execution. The Flash Mobs we create for event guests are for people of any dance level! It doesn’t matter whether you’re a novice or a pro, the experience is always accessible and fun!

We wanted to spotlight one more wedding we brought a Flash Mob to! For the Bella Collina reception shown below, the bride’s parents wanted to surprise the newlyweds and bring a special performance in to kick off La Hora Loca. (La Hora Loca is a festive tradition that translates to "the crazy hour". Its purpose is to energize guests after formalities, get everyone on the dance floor, and create an atmosphere of glee and excitement.) The bride was blown away, and afterwards the dance floor was on fire!
